What are the specified intervals for regular thorough examinations of Lifting Equipment?

Unless there is an ‘examination scheme’ specifying other intervals, thorough examinations should be conducted every: 6 months, for lifting equipment and any associated accessories used to lift people 6 months, for all lifting accessories 12 months, for all other lifting equipment

A scaffold used for construction should be inspected before it is used for the first time and then every 7 days, until it is removed. It should also be inspected each time it is exposed to conditions likely to cause deterioration eg following adverse weather conditions or following substantial alteration.
